Northern Beach Tour
Allow a full day to cover all of the beaches across the northern side of Kangaroo Island.
Western River
We suggest you start the day by driving to the Western End of Kangaroo Island to Western River. This quiet beach offer quite sheltered opportunities to swim, but also has amazing rock formations to explore, plus a full BBQ and picnic area to have lunch with toilets adjacent.
The drive in to this beach is spectacular. Take your time, as the road winds around a bit as you come down the hill into the cove. When you arrive, you cross a wooden walkway bridge over the river to get to the beach about 3 minutes from the carpark.
Make sure you visit Stokes Bay, Smith Bay, Snelling Beach and Emu Bay on your way back to American River.
